2023-2024 Recruitment Day

Our annual event aimed at giving you more information about the joining process will be announced soon.  You'll be able to learn about the Camelback Ski Patrol and see if you have what it takes to become a patroller. Click here to let us know that you're interested.

Are you up to the challenge?

       First on. Last off.

Camelback Ski Patrollers prepare the mountain in the morning, rescue and care for injured guests throughout the day/night, and make sure that everyone gets down safely when the mountain closes.  Sure--it's a long, action-packed day, but there is nothing more rewarding than putting in a hard day's work while having a good time and making lifelong friends in the process.

       Requirements:

We have an obligation to the guests of Camelback Mountain to provide high quality services.  There are a number of requirements that must be met to join our patrol, including:

  • You must have a strong desire to help others.

  • You must be a strong intermediate or expert skier or rider.

  • You must complete an Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) Course, which our Patrol provides annually.

  • You must obtain CPR and AED training at the Professional Level.

  • You must satisfactorily pass Camelback Ski Patrol's toboggan test.

  • You must complete 13 on-duty days and nights each ski season.

       Benefits and perks:

  • Become part of our Patrol family

  • Continually learn new skills

  • Be a member of The National Ski Patrol:  a nationally recognized skiing and rescue organization

  • The ability to help injured guests

  • Improve your skiing/riding

  • Earn passes to Camelback Mountain Resort (skiing, waterpark, mountain adventures, zip line)

       We're a different breed.

When it comes to being a Camelback Ski Patroller, there is no mold.  There are, however, some common traits that all Patrollers share.  We have a strong desire to help others, learn emergency care techniques, improve our skiing/riding skills, and enhance the safety and enjoyment of snow sports for our guests.  Sound like you?
