Supporting the Volunteers of the Camelback Ski Patrol

When you hit the slopes at Camelback Resort in the heart of Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, your safety is in the hands of a dedicated team of volunteer first responders who donate their time right here in our community. Camelback ski patrollers are proud members of the National Ski Patrol (NSP), a federally chartered, non-profit educational organization. While Camelback Resort generously provides our core rescue equipment and everyday first aid supplies, our volunteer members rely on public generosity to maintain the elite standards of care you expect on the mountain. We gladly volunteer our time and expertise, but we depend on neighbors like you to help fund the vital education required to serve you.

 

Your tax-deductible financial support directly powers the advanced education that keeps Camelback’s volunteer patrollers at the cutting edge of outdoor winter rescue. Donations go directly toward offsetting annual CPR certification fees and National Ski Patrol ongoing education, as well as purchasing specialized training materials. Because of your generosity, our volunteers can undergo rigorous, year-round training in Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC), Outdoor Emergency Transport (OET), complex chairlift evacuations, and low-angle rope rescues. Every dollar donated stays right here, ensuring our team is always prepared to answer the call.

 

Many of the contributions we receive carry a deeply personal story. We are incredibly moved by the "thank you" donations from grateful patients and families whom our volunteer patrollers have treated and rescued on the trails. We also frequently receive meaningful memorial donations dedicated to the memory of beloved patrollers who spent their lives watching over these trails. Whether you are paying it forward after a rescue, honoring a fallen patroller, or simply wanting to support the safety of winter sports in the Poconos, your gift makes an immediate difference.

 

The Camelback Ski Patrol is a member of the Eastern PA Region, within the larger Eastern Division of the National Ski Patrol.
